Instructor’s Training Course

IMPACT Wellbeing Programme is designed for use in education, health, social care, corporate wellbeing and to enhance therapists' practices. It consists of simple, adaptable and effective relaxation techniques for the workplace and home. Instructors learn a range of techniques which have a mindfulness-based approach. They teach individuals or groups about the effects of stress and how to use the techniques, which give people skills for life.
Instructors can use IMPACT to improve wellbeing in their current work situations with school students, parents, stroke survivors, carers, staff and therapy clients or provide workshops to expand their practice. An online manual and a range of resources are provided.
Following the course you will:
- Be qualified to teach young people and adults individually or in groups
- Gain professional insurance and CPD points (with relevant pre-requisites*)
- Be able to expand your existing service to appeal to a wider audience both private and public

- Relaxation breathing techniques
- Relaxation and guided visualisation
- The benefits of massage
- Self massage for arms and hands, head and shoulders
- Peer massage for arms and hands, head and shoulders
- Health and safety and safeguarding
- Role of the instructor
One day course: 9.30-4.30 with registration at 9.15
The informal assessment process uses observation of practical work, verbal questions and answers, quiz activities and evaluation form feedback
Upon completion of the course you will receive a certificate as an IMPACT Workplace Well-being Instructor. This is a recognised short course qualification for therapists with a recognised Level 3 qualification in Swedish Massage or Indian Head Massage or Body Massage.*
The training is open to non-therapists.
FHT credit 10 points and CThA credit 5 points. Therapists from other organisations should check prior to application.
Anne Crease and Paul Crease have been complementary therapists for over 20 years and are qualified in a range of therapies. Their previous roles as teachers support their work as IMPACT trainers. They promote well being for people of all ages through the provision of countrywide instructor's training courses with ongoing support and access to resources.
